Project members from the University of Otago and Tūhura Otago Museum joined members of the public on a light over Antarctica to see the Aurora Australis over the weekend. Dr Ian Griffin, director of Tūhura Otago Museum, and Professor Craig Rodger, of the University of Otago Physics Department talked on board the flight about the science behind the aurora as the flights travelled under the auroral oval before heading back to Christchurch.
